XTRACT Optical Channel Drop Square Flat-Top Tunable Filter
Xtract Square Flat-top Tunable Filter allows clean DWDM optical channel extraction. The extremely sharp edges ensure a clean cut between the signal and the adjacent channels or noise, while the flat top shape ensures data integrity. Xtract accurately isolates a DWDM channel for BERT or Q-factor measurements. It features automatic channel detection with a relative wavelength accuracy of ±15 pm. Xtract operates from 1450 nm to 1650 nm covering the E-, S-, C and L-bands in a single instrument and offers the thinnest optical bandwidth – as low as 100 pm, making it suitable for systems with very high channel density. With higher bandwidth selected, up to 1 nm, Xtract is suitable for systems as up to 100 Gb/s modulation rate.
Xtract offers a variable bandwidth option that allows a continuous adjustment of the fi lter bandwidth. Without compromising the remarkable optical features of the filter, this capability enables the user to perfectly adapt the filter bandwidth to the modulation of the signal. This allows reliable validation of complex component and system designs.
