MBR5 Ruggedized Multi-Output Backreflection Meter
For the demands of FTTP testing by AT&T we created a ruggedized version of our popular MBR5 Multi-Output Backreflection Meter. The ruggedized version features the same stable optics for precise measurement of backreflection, insertion loss and power, and is field-ready in a shielded casing.
The meter features up to a 6 x 12 MTP/APC array connector, and a detachable loop-back device.
Available with 36 or 72 output channels, the MBR5 is a practical choice for loop-back testing. The MBR5 features built-in laser sources at wavelengths of 850 and 1310 nm for multimode measurement.
A front-panel USB port and ATS software simplify the collection and management of measurement data allowing quick access to the test results from various channels. The MBR5 achieves ultra-stable backreflection measurements at very low values. Accuracy is typically ±0.7 dB and measurement sensitivity is to -40 dB. Insertion loss relative accuracy is ±0.15 dB.
